Soil together with the trees and woodland which grow in it in our landscapes are so incredibly complex and diverse that our knowledge is far from understanding what is actually going on.

But we are at a tipping point – our trees are at risk from many threats, and many as a result of humans directly or indirectly. We need solutions, we need to further our knowledge.

We are tree, soil and landscape investigators helping to find site specific solutions to protect your tree, woodland, plantation or orchard.

We promote good research, the transfer of knowledge across national boundaries and the use of both traditional and innovative solutions in design, planting, maintenance and policy with regards the trees in your landscape.
